An archaeological outdoor reconstruction of the living and subsistence hunting culture of Stone Age Finland located on a genuine dig site on the shore of scenic Lake Summasjärvi. On display are reconstructed harpoons, nets, comb-ceramic pots, animal traps and a range of authentic Stone Age artefacts. Life-like reconstructions of dwellings of different periods from prehistoric Finland and around the world are also presented, plus a brand new find from Summassaari itself -a carefully restored 4200-year-old log cabin. The village's Trap Path and Archaeology Trail give a gripping insight into ancient hunting methods and actual site excavations plus an ancient trapping system containing over 60 animal traps.
